Hello, I’m Kay and I love paper crafts!
I especially like card making but also love to explore mixed media and other paper based projects. Paper crafting is a fantastic hobby since you get to play with loads of great products, exercise your creative muscles and relax.
Happy married to Michael with two adult children nearly fledged! We are the live in help for our cats, based in Peterborough.
I started crafting a little over 10 years ago, after picking up a leaflet for a new craft shop (now closed) at my WI meeting and going the shop for a look. I brought a stamp and ink pad, then embossing powders, the heat gun…….and on and on it went – it’s a bit of an obsession!
I started Create it Yourself to help pay for my hobby and it has developed into a monthly Project workshop group, day classes and demonstrate at events and on TV.
In 2015 became an IndigoBlubelle! Later that year I was became runner up in two national competitions . During 2016 I was proud to have demonstrated Apple Blossom Dies on Hochanda. Last year taught classes at the Craft Outlet stores in Spalding and Hornsea. I have been published in many of the national craft magazines and am also part of the CraftStash designed team.
I began demonstrating for GrafixArts on Hochanda in April 2017 and am pleased and proud to be representing them again during 2018.
Last year I joined forces with Cheryl at Deeping St. James to provide an all day workshop about every six weeks. Cheryl produces a great lunch and refreshments with the invaluable help of Alan and I provide the crafting, they are great fun! These are continuing into 2018, check out our FB page, C&K Craft Days.
If you want more, then I can guide you through the many paper crafting techniques so that you can express your creativity and develop your own special style at a personal craft class or at a Project 2018 workshop, now extended to include a class at Newborough Village Hall on the first Thursday of the month 6.30-8.30pm. Details for me on the contact page.
So now I have something to blog about, hope you enjoy and get inspired.
