Hello and Welcome to this shared post with some of my fellow IDT teamies! I’ve made a spring themed wreath from the MDF Winter one I made last year.
I pulled off the leaves, sentiment and embellishments but left the textured background. I painted this with the new Junk and Disorderly paint Leather Corset, a lovely brown and only one coat covered all the textures. I then covered this with twigs from the garden attached with a hot glue gun to look like a nest, Leather corset was dry brushed over to cover any glue showing.
The bird and leaves from Live Laugh love were stamped in black and heat embossed in clear a number of times onto white card. They were coloured with IndigoBlu paints and fussy cut. The flowers were made by painting both sides of a sheet of copy paper with Marshmallow and Pink Iced Gem then repeat stamping flowers from the same stamp set with a 50/50 mix of Marshmallow and Mulberry Bush, the centres were painted with Lemon Meringue. These were then fussy cut, shaped and layered. A sentiment from Victorian Garden was stamped in black and cut out.
All the above elements were then attached to the wreath frame with hot glue and paper cord added to hang the wreath.
I hope you have enjoyed my project and do pop over to see what fabulous projects my teamies have done if you haven’t yet, this link will take you to IndigoBlu site.
Take care Kay xx
