Hello and welcome, This is a shared IndigoBlu Blog post with my fellow teamies, Autumn, Cheremane and Solange.
For this project I’ve repurposed a box I decorated a while ago. It’s been turned into a box to store chocolates for celebrations, prefect for bonfire parties and on into the Christmas season! I used red, green and brown shades of the Damaged Damask, Damaged Dots and Steampunkesque mixed media papers cut into patches and each one edged with black pen. These were applied to the box in a random pattern with Slap-it-On Matt.
Die cut leaf shapes were layered for dimension and added to the box, these were painted with Gee-Sso-Good white and the rest of the box painted with wash of the same paint. Words from the Family Stencil added with Super Slap-it-On mixed with Gee-Sso-Good black. The leaves were painted with mix of Miss Moneypenny and Emerald City and just Miss Moneypenny to edge the corners and sponge through Damaged Damask Stencil onto the box.
Poinsettia flower shapes were cut from Damaged Dots papers, shaped, splattered with watered down Bronze Luscious, attached to the box and the centres filled with hot glue and sprinkled with Unicorn Sparkles. Black gems were added to finish.
Not sure how long the chocolates will last- except to be filling them up quite often!
Do check out the other projects from Autumn, Cheremane and Solange, links on the blog.
Take care, Kay xx
