Hello, This is the card I made as inspiration for the new IndigoBlu Challenge Blog – Brown & Teal.
I covered a 7 x7 card front with a sheet from the Cartography – Mixed Media Paper Pad – 12×12 , (the excess used for the flowers and seed heads) and applied a wash of Hot Chocolate Acrylic Paint and Gee-Sso-Good white then stamped the large poppy from Giant Poppy stamp set with the Hot Chocolate paint. When dry, Hot Chocolate was sponged around the card edges and Kingfisher Blue paint was spattered over.
The seed heads were stamped on the same paper, heat embossed in gold and had a Hot Chocolate wash applied before fussy cutting out. The rest of the paper sheet was painted with a mix of Townhouse Teal and Kingfisher Blue, when dry, the flowers were stamped in dark brown and heat embossed in clear and cut out.
The leaves and sentiment from Floral Fantasy were stamped in brown (StazOn) on kraft card that had been painted with Kingfisher Blue. The sentiment edges were distressed and painted with Hot Chocolate paint. The three faux brads were punched from the waste.
The elements were applied with PVA and silicon glue to give some dimension.
Do check out the other fab inspirational pieces from the rest of the team on the IndigoBlu blog and we are looking forward to seeing your entries- lots of great prizes!
Take care, Kay x
