Hello and welcome, This is a shared blog post with my fellow IDT teamies Jenny, Candy and Beck.
Loving the new IndigoBlu Metallic paints and I’ve used Kingfisher Blue and Pheasant Bronze on this project. I began by using Slap-It-On Fabric to adhere lace trim and a length of cotton fabric onto the canvas, I painted the fabric with a stiffener so it kept the shape. Further elements, buttons, hearts and beads etc. were added with bead gel and clear 3D gel mediums, the entire canvas was left to dry, then painted all over with Gee-Sso-Good White. A wash of Townhouse Teal was painted all over, when dry Kingfisher Blue was painted on top, a few splashes of Sleeping Beauty and Aladdin were added and water was sprayed to mix. When nearly dry Snow White Metallic paint was watered down and this was dropped over the canvas to highlight, this was left to dry naturally.
Flowers were die cut and made up from a few shades of Bazzil Bling, Chocolate Box MegaFlakes were added as centres. The flowers and areas of the canvas were dry brushed with Pheasants Bronze to highlight and give depth. The image from Lost Families was colour tinted with Copic markers and attached, the flowers and other elements were adhered with clear gel medium.
I do hope you have enjoyed this canvas, check out the posts from Jenny, Cindy and Beck for more inspiration!
Take care Kay xx
