Hello, I would like to share my inspirational piece for the new IndigoBlu Challenge Blog. This month’s theme is ‘Anything Goes’ so plenty of choice then! I’ve made a canvas this month with lots of background ‘action’. I used the new Mixed Media Card Stacks, European Grand Tour and Cartography Collection for the background. I painted over them with watered down White Gee-Sso-Good, stencilled with texture paste and inks using the texture stencil. The new Lost in Benidorm, Tasty Textures and the Periodic Table were stamped onto tissue paper torn out and applied on top. More texture and interest was added with my own made washi tape (lengths of masking tape painted with Goldfinger, Miss Moneypenny and Vodka Martini then over stamped with the new Light and Sound stamps). Jenny gave the idea to use washi tape after seeing one of her brilliant makes! Finally white and brown paint was splatted over to finish the background.
The stamped sentiments are from Funny Bird and ‘forever, friends and together’ were die cut from doubled sided tape and Copper Kettle Mega-Flake applied. The main image is the Lost in Benidorm stamped onto IndigoBlu stamping card and coloured with my Copic markers. All products, apart from the Copic makers, can be found on the IndigoBlu web site. Do go over to the IndigoBlu Challenge Blog for lots more inspiration and get your entry in for some great prizes!
Take care, Kay x
