Hello, I would like to share a mini Top Hat and stand I made. I used the new Light an Sound stamp set, Teeny Backgrounds, Laurel leaves stencil, English Cottage Acrylic Paints and Mega-Flake all from IndigoBlu.
The hat was make with kraft-tex paper fabric using a pattern I made up, it was then covered with strips from an old book. The raised leaf pattern was made by applying texture paste through the Laurel leaves stencil onto tissue paper, when dry the images where separated and adhered to the hat with Slap-it-On and then coated with black Gee-Sso-Good. The 1st coat of paint was Sleeping Beauty and the 2nd Aladdin, both coats were lightly spritzed lightly with water before drying. The stand was treated in the same way.
The ribbon was stamped with StazOn using a Teeny Background. The flowers were made from ribbons coloured with Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin and Cinderella and over stamped with black Gee-Sso-Good using the Light and sound stamps. The hat was finished with feathers glided with Morris Dance Mega-Flake. The stand was also highlighted with Morris Dance Mega-Flake.
I had lots of fun making the Top Hat and hope you have enjoyed seeing it too. You can check out some other fab blogs over on the IndigoBlu Blog.
Take care, Kay x
